Deuteronomy 18:10
Do not let your people practice fortune-telling or sorcery, or allow them to interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft.Everyday, I receive emails upon emails and message after message that read something like this: “Read this email and then send it to ten (or even fifteen or twenty) people and your wish will come true (or something good will happen to you).” You’ve likely been either a recipient or a sender of these emails yourself. The sad part is that some of these emails are being forwarded on by Christian brothers and sisters. I once read about a crystal-gazer who charged $25 per reading. She told a customer, “$25 entitles you to ask me two questions.” The visitor asked, “Isn’t that a lot of money for only two questions?” The fortune-teller responded, “Yes, madam, it is. So now, what’s your second question?” It’s pretty foolish sounding, right? Well, the Biblical truth is that horoscopes and fortunes violate the Word of God because nobody can know tomorrow except for God.
