Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation.Do you like having your photo taken? Do you like being the person behind the camera taking the photos? Can you remember the funniest photo ever taken of you? A picture really is worth a thousand words when you get down to it. I know several people that are plainly addicted to photography (my daughter’s one of them and she’s certainly not alone!) and I’m sure nearly everyone has been to an event, celebration, outing or activity where photos have been taken. Walter Baxendale once wrote a story about William Cowper, a poet, which expressed Cowper’s warm memories of his mother. After she passed away, Cowper was given a photo of her as a remembrance. Cowper said of that photo, "I would rather possess that picture than the richest jewel on the British crown." According to the Bible, Jesus is a picture of God Himself and having Him in your heart is priceless. Whatever you’re facing today, know that Christ in your heart makes your life truly valuable and worthy to face whatever challenges or situations lay before you.
