Give to Caesar what belongs to him. But everything that belongs to God must be given to God.I have personally seen people go literally from rags to riches. I know of a businessman that had fallen into bankruptcy that began praying to God for a broad blessing that could only come from Him. He began serving the Lord through his church and gave freely of his time to a large variety of church activities. To nobody's surprise, the Lord started to pour out blessings upon this man's business. Later on, however, because of time constraints from the blessings upon his businesses, he began retreating from his church responsibilities, activities and ministries. His response reminds me of a story about a little boy walking to church with two nickels, one for the Lord and one for himself. On the way to church he accidentally dropped one of the nickels into a sewer and said, “Well, there goes the Lord’s nickel.” Sadly, it seems that time spent focusing on God is what's at stake when we become busy managing the blessings bestowed to us. Get your priorities straight and give to God what must be given to God: His fair share.
