Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.
From man's very beginning, we were given the task of managing God's creations as we learn from Genesis 1:26 when God said, "Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life — the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals, and small animals." All these creatures were given to us by the Lord to manage and to "master" over. So often, however, faithful believers give more honor to the things that they have been blessed to lord over, instead of honoring their Lord. We put work, money, relationships and a variety of the Lord's blessings over the Lord, Himself. The key to this responsibility, and to any kind of responsibility, is to be faithful to the Creator and not to His creations. Be a faithful manager, making sure that you honor God above all.
