Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man. But all who are related to Christ, the other man, will be given new life.
Believers are members of two different families: the family line of Adam, to which every human being belongs, and Jesus' family, the church. Under Adam, we're all are subject to sin and death, but under Christ, family members are blessed with redemption and everlasting life. If you're wondering what life is like in Jesus' family, Christ describes it in Matthew 12:48-50:
Even though Jesus' family might seem a little different, or maybe even a little odd, it doesn't change the reality that the will of God to redeem you from sin remains unchanged. No matter what you're going through or where you've been, you can be a member of Jesus' family. All you have to do is accept his graceful invitation and you become a member of a family touched by grace and blessed with eternity."Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" Then he pointed to his disciples and said, "These are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!"
