For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world.
Sometimes people mistakenly identify worldly pleasures as blessings. If we’re not careful, we may even mistakenly ask God for worldly pleasures. Be leery to understand that Satan is a counterfeiter and he will try to substitute something in place of what God actually wants for you. Satan will do this with evil and unrighteous intentions, never seeking to give someone a blessing, but rather to bait someone into captivity. Always seek authentic, real and righteous blessings from God, while being careful to identify the signs of a counterfeit fake.
