Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
It is a stark reality that evil truly exists. You may have heard the term “necessary evils” or the very newsworthy term “questionable ethics” which have been used to achieve solutions for “the greater good.” According to the Word of God, these approaches do not solve the evil challenges and problems facing you. You can't overcome evil by using more evil, but rather by addressing evil with that which is good. Emperor Vespasian of the Roman Empire was famous for living a life whereby he would not let a day pass without doing something good. If he found that a single day had passed by without his performing a good deed, he would enter into his journal the term, "Diem perdidi," meaning "I have lost a day." Don’t lose your days when you can personally overcome the evil challenges facing you with that which is good and blessed.
