Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
Addictions like alcoholism, drug addiction and smoking can all be treated. Your system can actually become free of narcotic-dependency after a lot of time and effort. People who were freed from these types of addictions hope and pray for the day that they feel no desire, but rather are nauseated by their old addictions. Sexual sins, however, are a much different type of beast. The Apostle Paul tells us that sexual immorality is a sin against your own body because those carnal acts will be with you forever, never to be erased from the steel trap of your mind. This is why we were given a straight command to take action and flee from this entrapping, addictive and carnally indulging sin. You are ordered to do one thing when it comes to sexual sin: RUN in the opposite direction. Get away from sexual immorality, pornography and carnal activities. You'll find that your life will be all the better for it and that your obedience will be rewarded graciously.
