God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
There is really no way for man to cleanse himself from the sin running through our veins. The sin that plagues lives and separates men from God can only be cleansed by the blood of the spotless Lamb of God. It was only through the His painful death and resurrection that we could be freed from the shackles of sin. Jesus could have ended His painful humiliation just as we are taught in Matthew 26:53, “Don't you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?” The harsh reality is that it was only through His death and resurrection that our separation from God could be bridged. Because of this, Jesus voluntarily surrendered His will to His Father so that the world could be healed. Because of His wounds, we are healed. Because of His wounds, we are clean again, just like new.
