Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you.
In 1 John 2:15, the Apostle John refers to the evil systems and practices of the world as it operates in sin. God has allowed man to choose between godly and evil practices as the standards dictating one’s lifestyle. When a person chooses to do something in stark opposition to the Word of God, their default chosen standard becomes the evil and sinful world. Now, if you want to live by the standard found in the Word of God, you’ll need to actually read and obey the Bible. After all, you wouldn't want to find yourself in that gray area of life where you may find yourself exploring an empty love of the world and the evil that inhabits it, would you?
