Does my happiness depend on my wealth and all that I own?Charles Cranford became the owner of Napoleon Bonaparte’s personal sword in a purchase he made at a Swiss auction. His winning bid was never revealed, but experts agree that the sword is worth a small fortune. While I'm sure that the value of Napoleon's sword is valuable in worldly terms, the Apostle Paul tells us about another sword in Ephesians 6:17 when he writes, “The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” And regarding the Word, John 1:1 teaches us that, “In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.” Anybody who accepts the Word of God as truth, also accepts God and His righteousness. With the Word you have the most valuable and potent weapon ever fashioned for battle or peacekeeping. This is the truest wealth and the real source of true happiness and joy.
