The LORD will hold
you in his hands
for all to see —
a splendid crown
in the hands of God.
Legend has it that when Saladin laid his eyes upon Richard the Lionhearted's sword, he was amazed that such a common sword could make a man so great. An English officer retorted, “It was not the sword; it was the arm of Richard.” If we allow God to hold us like that sword, God could perform the mightiest of acts through us. Isaiah 64:8 teaches us that, “You are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the Potter. We are all formed by Your hand.” In the hands of our mighty and powerful God, common clay like us can become great and mighty, too. All you have to do is let His good hands craft and shape your life.
