2 Corinthians 9:7
You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully.The first to ever give and to ever love was God alone. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love him, because he first loved us.” There was a father who wanted his young son's character to develop, so he gave his son a penny and a quarter on their way to the church. The father told the child, “Son, you put whichever one you want in the offering plate at church.” Before the offering came the boy heard the preacher say, “The Lord loveth a cheerful giver.” After the church service, the father asked the child which coin went into the plate and the boy replied, “I knew I could give the penny a lot more cheerfully than I could give the quarter, so I gave the penny.” God gave everything to us, even His own Son. Knowing this, how much do you give back to Him?
