Job 15:34
For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes.During World War II, the French industrial magnate Joseph Joanovici helped the invading Nazi forces by selling precious metals to Hitler's forces. When the Nazis occupied Paris, Joanovici used his wealth and influential position to bribe key German officials to guarantee his personal safety. When the war ended, however, Joanovici would find himself implicated in the deaths of those Frenchmen that were dedicated to the resistance. Bribery charges eventually became the centerpiece of Joanovici's downfall. What’s can we learn from this story? Well, it's simply that one can disregard the basic principles of the Bible, but you can’t disregard the aftermath of making that decision. Face it, you can't buy, bribe or excuse your way out of the trials of your path. Do so and you'll find yourself with a barren and joyless life. Come to Jesus and embrace the principles of Bible. There are no regrets for anyone that's made the decision for Christ.
