YOUR BUSINESS

Proverbs 24:27
Develop your business first before building your house.

The big part of this verse's challenge can be traced back to the smaller problems with families. Modern families are just set up all the wrong priorities. Kids blame their parents and the parents blame the grandparents and so on and so on; it’s just a vicious cycle. King Solomon said that there’s nothing new under the sun and I've even heard other preachers say, “It’s just the same old stuff happening to new people.” A preacher who was solemnizing a wedding asked the bride, “Do you take this man for better or worse?” The bride responded, “He can’t get no worse, and there's no hopes of his gettin’ any better, so I'll take him ‘as is.’” It’s a real problem when someone enters into a marriage unprepared, or just prepared for the status quo. King Solomon said that a person's business should be developed first and this means that you should fix yourself first before you start building a house, a home or a family. So, how do you fix you? Easy, just seek God and His righteousness first.
