And here is how to measure it —

their lives for their friends.
On May 21, 1946, Louis Slotin and seven others were performing a dangerous experiment in New Mexico. While working with plutonium, pieces were accidentally moved triggering an immense increase of radioactivity filling the room. Slotin with his bare hands, pulled apart the radioactive pieces to save his companions, but in so doing he exposed himself to an overwhelming dosage of radiation. Several days later, Slotin passed away from the intense radiation exposure while the others recovered from the exposure thanks to the heroism displayed by Slotin. Jesus did something similar, but on a much greater scale for all people when He offered Himself as a sacrifice for people to have salvation. It's no contest, Jesus' love is by far the greatest love of all.
