2 Corinthians 11:14
But I am not surprised!
Even Satan can disguise himself
as an angel of light.
Ever heard of the Trojan Horse? Ancient Greek legend tells us that to infiltrate the well secured city of Troy, General Ulysses ordered a huge wooden horse to be built and then hid soldiers inside the gigantic horse. The horse was left the outside the walls of Troy as a “Gift” as the remaining Greek armies pretended to sail away. Troy celebrated their victory and brought their “Gift Horse” within the city walls. At night, while the city slept, the Greek soldiers hiding inside the horse emerged from the horse and opened the city gates from the inside out, letting the rest of the Greek army in to capture Troy. Do not be deceived about what the world has to offer you. The glittering appeal just might be a trap and you may find yourself corrupted and enslaved by what you’ll allow into your heart. Much like Troy, you don't want to find yourself celebrating victory while the enemy is waiting to destroy you from the inside. Be leery of what may appear to be too good to be true because it usually is too good to be true.

Don't be decieved
be aware of the things that say, or the people you hang out with... yeah it might be fun, but when you reach the end it's only going to be trouble.
AMEN!!!!
WOW! this was powerful! the too good to be true usually IS too good to be true.
THAT was cool. i've never heard anybody tie greek mythology to Jesus like that. keep it up and i'll keep visiting!!!
it's a simple choice between . TEMPORARY SATISFACTION vs ETERNAL SATISFACTION
Wouldn't you be inclined to say that God Himself is too good to be true? He transcends all of our expectations, our grandest hopes and dreams. How, then, should we distinguish between the "good" that the enemy dangles before us and the great, grand, perfect that is given to us freely by our Father?
i got owned. haha.
thanks for this p. junds =)
Godbless everyone!
amen !
let us not be deceived.

I find it amazing that it's the world that lives and is based in lies. Truth comes from above.
Jesus didn't have to show off His power by striking the sagacies with lightening, though He had the power to do it. He knelt in the sand and sketched out the words of their sins. The power was Him telling the truth.
Zela!
wow! 10 comments!!! jundy, this is really a great devotional because the world is really deceptive. i mean, if i was a teen today, with all the crazy "role models", i'd be a mess.
