The Duke of Wellington asked a slouching young officer, “Why are you standing in such an improper position?” The young soldier who was in uniform replied sheepishly, “I’m off duty, sir.” The Duke chided the soldier saying, “A British officer is never off duty. Resume your military position.” We are to do likewise as we are commanded in 1 Peter 5:8 to, “Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour.” Stay alert. Maintain a strong position. Do not be caught off guard. Be prayerful.

I'm glad you're drawing attention to this scripture. Christians, because our God is a God of mercy should remember in their personal life to always show love to their fellow man.
Sometimes we don't have extra time to spend, or extra money, but you can always show kindness and compassion. Compassion that was given to us first. But it's not a weak knee bent love, it's a love that stood against the gates of hell and conquered them!!! Power!
