Open my eyes to see the
wonderful truths in your law.
The Word of God can only be understood with the help of it's Author. The writers only wrote as they were inspired to write, according to 2 Peter 1:21: “For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” In 1 Corinthians 2:11 it tells us that, “No one can know what anyone else is really thinking except that person alone, and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own Spirit.” And 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, “But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.” This is the reason why people find themselves saying, “I don’t understand the Bible.” I encourage you to know that God wants to reveal Himself to you. Just ask the Lord to open your eyes.

This is a great devo! I hear alot of non believers say stuff like "the bible is written by man, not God" and it really ticks me off. But now I know why because they are not XIANS and they can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. Either that or they're retarded. CCM's rockin' the house!
