DIVISION

Jude 1:19
Now they are here, and they are the
ones who are creating divisions among you.
They live by natural instinct because they
do not have God's Spirit living in them.

It's sad to say, but not all attendees at Sunday church worship services are Godly Christians. In fact, some that are sitting in the pews may have even been sent by the devil with a goal to divide the body of Christ. The devil couldn't be more pleased than when people stop praying to God and seeking His will. History teaches us that the war principal of "divide, conquer and rule" never achieves permanence. I believe that this is the case because such a principle is not of our heavenly Father, but rather of the devil. God's principle is unity, as He taught in John 17:22, “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one”. It's up to Christians to recognize that petty differences, gossiping and jealousies are really tools that the devil will use to trip believers into sin. Keep your eyes on the prize, stretching to the goal and keep the body of Christ unified.

We must evaluate ourselves if we are Christians who restores or Christians who destroys. I have met people who think they are doing God a favor by fixing situations according to God's word. But come to think of it they are doing it because they have a selfish motive. Slapping fellow Christians with Bible verses. I know this because I am guilty of this too. Thank you so much for the "friendly" reminder. Inspire and teach us some more through this devotional blog. God bless you.
