AND NOW YOU'RE RICH

2 Corinthians 8:9
You know how full of love and
kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was.
Though he was very rich,
yet for your sakes he became poor,
so that by his poverty
he could make you rich.



God the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, was sent from heaven because of love. In John 6:38 Jesus tells us, “For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do what I want.” He left heaven’s glory where streets are pure gold and the gates are made of pearl, to live on earth and became poor so that those who would receive Him could become children of God and heirs to heaven's glory. Now that kind of inheritance would make a person very rich indeed.
