A FORGIVING HEART

Luke 17:3-4
I am warning you!
If another believer sins, rebuke him;
then if he repents, forgive him.
Even if he wrongs you seven times a day
and each time turns again
and asks forgiveness,
forgive him."



Lord Balfour once said, "The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity." The definition of charity is love, and the genuine love that people gracefully show is symbolic of the love God Himself gives to man. The forgiveness for one's enemy that Lord Balfour references can only be possible when a graceful love is resident in your heart.
