But they are not connected to Christ,
the head of the body. For we are joined
together in his body by his strong sinews,
and we grow only as we get our
nourishment and strength from God.
In real life, being connected or having connectivity means that you’re well supplied. When roots are connected to the soil, plants grow. In nearly the same fashion, when a person is connected to God, that person gets the kind of nourishment that’s really needed. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. John Wesley wrote, “I want the whole Christ for my Savior, the whole Bible for my book, the whole Church for my fellowship, and the whole world for my mission field.” We’re all interconnected with others in one way or another, but we still each have to individually choose to be connected to God who is the right source of growth and strength. Are you using your connectivity to connect others with God?
