SO TEMPTING

Matthew 6:13
And don't let us yield to temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

Jesus demonstrated the way to face the temptations that the devil can employ on your path. Jesus Himself was brought to the desert where everything was scarce and needs were overwhelming. This scenario is symbolic of where most of us currently are in our lives. Times are scarce, needs seem overwhelming and Satan just might come along to offer you something desirable. It could be anything your heart desires. The sky could be the limit. Satan said to Jesus in Matthew 4:9, "I will give it all to you, if you will only kneel down and worship me." Ironically, Satan’s statement unveils our key to connecting with God: worship. Our enemy understands that if we worship God, our Father in Heaven will be moved to provide all of our needs. When Satan tries to get you to worship something other than God, he knows that you can't be blessed. Jesus responded bluntly to Satan when He said, “Get out of here, Satan. For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God; serve only Him.’” When temptations appear before you, know that Jesus experienced the same exact challenges. Face it, He came to down to earth and lived as a man, so He totally understands what you’re going through when you're facing temptations. Stay strong and be devoted in worship to God the Father.

God will not put us in a place where His grace cannot reach us.
1 Cor. 10:13 (NIV)
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

GLORY!
