Hebrews 4:14-15
That is why we have a great High Priest
who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God.
Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,
for he faced all of the same temptations we do,
yet he did not sin.

Every single day of our lives we are tempted by something, and if one isn't equipped with how to deal with those temptations, it's highly likely that sin will be on the rise in that person's life. It's really important to point out that people don’t sin when they're tempted. They sin when they yield to temptation. It reminds me of a story about a man and his wife that were shopping together when a very shapely young woman in a short, form-fitting dress strolled by. The husband’s eyes very easily followed the young lady. As he returned to his senses, his wife simply asked, "Was it worth the trouble that you're in now?" You might be surprised to hear that this situation is not a rarity. Look at it this way, guilt and sin just aren’t worth the troubles and consequences. It really makes sense to follow Jesus' example. Christ was tempted by the devil himself, but through it all He never gave in to the fleshly desires of power or lust. It's definitely tough, but it's definitely possible.

this is very true. we easily get attracted to what we see thus we also are deceived easily. the result: giving in to temptation. but, we, Christians, are so blessed because we have Jesus who gives us strength to say no to fleshly desires. thanks, pastor jundy, this is indeed encouraging.
