GOLD STANDARD

Exodus 24:12
And the Lord said to Moses,
"Come up to me on the mountain.
Stay there while I give you
the tablets of stone that I have
inscribed with my instructions and commands.
Then you will teach the people from them."



When God gave us His commandments, He gave His children the gold standard of how to live. Standards are important for uniformity, consistency and most especially for safety. Since God’s commandments are the gold standard, the desirable results are very clear and you never have to question the safety of your actions. Simply put: kids get into trouble with their parents when the family standards are violated. Romans 13:4 tells us, “The authorities are sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for you will be punished. The authorities are established by God for that very purpose, to punish those who do wrong.” Set yourself up within God’s gold standard and your choices will always be a safe distance from the troubles of the world.
