PURE

Psalm 24:4-5
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,
who do not worship idols and never tell lies.
They will receive the LORD'S blessing and
have right standing with God their savior.

There is a praise and worship song that goes:

A pure heart that’s what I long for
A heart that follows hard after thee
A heart that hides Your Word so that sin will not come in
A heart that's undivided but one You rule and reign
A heart that beats compassion, that pleases You, My Lord
A sweet aroma of worship that rises to Your throne.

Ironically, Jeremiah 17:9 teaches us, "The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” Paul wrote in Romans 3:10, "No one is good, not even one. This is the reason why we need to let Jesus come into our hearts in order for our heart to be cleansed.” Let God the Son, not deceitful sin, reign in your heart to achieve true praise and worship. Is God reigning in your heart today?

Amen... we were born as sinners, and in life the "natural" thing to do is sin. But after accepting Jesus and being saved, we should have the desire to glorify God and spread His Word.

Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
